Lean management focuses on maximising value for customers while minimising waste and process inefficiencies. The primary role of a LEAN manager is to implement and oversee Lean principles and practises within the organisation.
Main Responsibilities:
Ensuring continuous improvement of production processes
Introducing and monitoring methods for production efficiency
Implementing lean manufacturing principles and training employees
Leading a team and providing mentorship
Reporting on departmental results
Necessary Skills / Requirements and Skills:
Deep knowledge of Lean principles such as Toyota Production System (TPS) and Lean Six Sigma.
Strong analytical skills.
Strong leadership abilities and change management skills are needed to effectively communicate the vision, gain support from stakeholders, and lead the organisation through the Lean transformation process.
Proficiency in using Lean tools such as value stream mapping, 5S, Kaizen, and DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, and Control)
A mindset for continuous improvement.
Bachelor's degree in a technical or economic field.
Certifications like Black Belt, Kaizen Manager, and MTM are advantageous
