Successful Communication, Conflict Resolution, Assertiveness (Communication I)

Course objectives

In this training, we analyse our daily communication in detail. We will discuss the issue of conflict and uncover its essence so that we can prevent it as much as possible. We will discuss the concept of assertiveness and its implementation in everyday working life. The last topic will be emotional intelligence as an important factor in our success in the 21st century.

Course content

• Verbal and nonverbal communication - the meaning and intent of words, the way of expression in various situations, reading and using nonverbal communication
• Solving communication situations - how to communicate in various situations from the position of a subordinate or superior employee, work with facts and assumptions
• Active listening - focusing on communication and understanding the other party, reading non-verbal expression, focusing on the causes
• Conflict resolution - types and sources of conflicts, stages of conflict development, consequences of unresolved conflicts, emotional elements of conflicts, how to develop your ability to solve problems, identification of potential conflicts and preventive measures
• Assertiveness - the use of assertiveness in problem solving, anger control, open door techniques and selective ignoring, criticism in assertiveness
• Emotional intelligence - self-awareness, self-control, self-motivation, empathy and social skills, contexts of emotional intelligence and examples
