Logistics Manager

A Logistics Manager ensures that the supply chain is efficient, coordinating all logistics activities associated with managing flows in the logistics chain. They establish concrete policies for the procurement, delivery, transportation, and distribution of goods, materials, and machinery. Their primary responsibility lies in leading the integrated logistics chain towards customers.

Main Responsibilities:

• Operational management of day-to-day operations, ensuring logistics support for transportation, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods.
• Developing plans and budgets in the field of logistics and planning expenses for the logistics centre.
• Comprehensive management of the logistics department, overseeing warehouse and transportation managers, and maintaining regular communication with customers and suppliers.
• Collaborating on warehouse and storage space design
• Planning and evaluating storage and transportation projects, designing integrated logistics chains.
• Assessing logistics risks, evaluating the efficiency of transportation processes, and proposing measures for improvement

Necessary Skills / Requirements and Skills:

• Planning, organisational, and strong analytical skills.
• Communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of foreign languages.
• Expertise in storage and distribution.
• Familiarity with the supply chain and industrial trends.
• Proficiency in using logistics management software, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and other relevant technologies
• Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements related to logistics operations.
• Education in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
• Familiarity with import and export regulations, customs procedures, and international logistics is advantageous for positions involving global logistics.
• Knowledge of ISO standards.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
