Course objectives

Participants of this module will get acquainted with professional terminology in the field of metrology, learn to orient themselves in legislation, understand the importance of the metrological confirmation system and clarify its place in the quality management. They will also be familiar with the metrological order and subsequently will be able to implement it in their organization. They will learn to recognize the nonconformity related to the metrology system and will be acquainted with the issue of measurement uncertainty, they will also gain orientation in the issue of determining the conformity of products with the specification.

Course content

• metrological assurance and process approach in the context of the quality management system
• requirements for measuring processes and measuring devices control in accordance with EN ISO 10012
• metrological confirmation system and metrological order
• recognizing measurement errors and determining product compliance with the specification
• metrological legislation and measurement management systems
