Course content
- Introduction, core terms and nomenclature
- Reasons for check procedure evaluation and measurement system analysis
- MSA types (for continuous and attributive data), possible sources of measurement variability
- Measurement accuracy (stability, position, linearity) precision (repeatability = Equipment variation EV Repeatability and reproducibility = Appraiser variation AV Reproducibility). Verification procedures for measurement system distinctiveness.
- Exercise: evaluation of measurement system by using of Gauge R&R study
- Attributive MSA – interpretation of the procedure, examples from practice, evaluation of Attributive Agreement Analysis study
- Exercise: evaluation of measurement system by using Attributive Agreement Analysis
- Verification of measuring systems capability for automatic and destructive measuring systems, measuring instrument capability (Cgk)
- Calibration of measuring instruments - interpretation of the procedure, practical examples, assessment of calibration results, essential requirements for an accredited laboratory following EN ISO 17025 requirements.
