How to influence the business results of your company

 

 

Business results and gaining new customers is one of the most frequently addressed points at meetings of almost every growth-oriented company. However, achieving real results is a less popular topic. Mainly from the point of view of implementation. There are several possibilities and ways. There are even more excuses. Open your mind and let's look at opportunities that positively affect business results:

1. Activity

Developing business activity is the basis for achieving results. There are no meetings without activity and there is no business without them. Insufficient activity is one of the most common causes of poor results and subsequent failure. At the same time, it is one of the few things we can actively manage and influence in business. We can then follow up on the activity with statistics that can be used to manage the results. Over time, thanks to statistics, we can identify the actions we need to take to achieve our goal. The statistics contain much more - it helps us determine in which part of the business we are making a mistake and where we have great results. We can then identify the reasons if the deal fails at any of the points. Therefore, do not get upset about the results, but about the activities that you and your employees have developed or not developed. The results are just a result of your actions.


Example:
100 addressed customers - 20 personal meetings - 10 sent offers - 5 acquired customers - turnover of X € out of five acquired customers.

2. Work on yourself and expand your skills

If you manage to fulfill the previous point and you achieve some results, it is the right time to start working on yourself. If you have enough activity, your results depend on your ability to sell products or services. In general, you have to start from the basics. The business is largely about liking, so it is necessary to pay attention to its appearance and level of communication, whether in a personal meeting, telephone conversation or electronic communication with the client. Subsequently, it is possible to improve sales techniques and gradually work to improve results. It should be recalled here that this is a long-term process that requires the perseverance and patience of both the trader and the employer himself. However, if there is no gradual improvement in at least 6-12 months, action is needed. The personal growth of a trader can be accelerated by the following activities:

  • Regular education and training
  • Proper management of the sales team
  • Providing regular feedback to resolve business cases

As part of education and training, the company should prepare a long-term training program for the development of business skills. In this case, 1-2 days of training is not enough. People move gradually and often need time and systematic work to achieve visible results. From the experience after completing a comprehensive training program, it is possible to increase sales by 10% - 30% depending on the size of the company and the type of product or service.

3. Follow modern trends and innovative products and services

Every product and service has its own lifespan. In today's hectic world, there are often changes in both sales methods and product and service innovations. Therefore, it is very important to keep up with the times and follow current trends. Product and service innovations need to be implemented more and more frequently. Ideal on an annual basis, in some cases even earlier. To capture trends, it is not enough just to follow the competition, but to look for current news in your area and implement it in practice. You can upgrade your products and services in several ways:

  • Preparation of a new product line or its extension
  • Creating or customizing products and services for a specific industry
  • Product facelift - a slight change in the appearance or parameters of the product
  • Preparation of packages of several services and unique events

In many cases, if you make a significant change to a product or service, it may take a while for the results to return to the previous level. Sometimes your product or service will not meet with a positive market response and you will not get to the previous level despite your best efforts. Then it is better to take a step back and go the proven path.

4. Use business accelerators

In order to achieve the best possible business results, it is necessary to be visible. In particular, the online world brings a number of business accelerators that can take the sale of your products and services to a completely different level. Of course, when choosing a marketing tool, it is always necessary to consider whether it is visited by your characteristic customers and it is also necessary to recalculate the amount of investment with regard to the required turnover and profit. Business results need to be constantly monitored and re-evaluated so that they do not become too expensive or inefficient for you. Currently, the most common marketing tools that deliver results include:

  • Google Adwords and SEO - Google search by entered keywords
  • Social networks - Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Youtube
  • Remarketing - displaying pages in advertising windows after leaving the page
  • Creating blogs and sending newsletters
  • PR articles published on professional websites and media
  • Presentation of products and services at public events

The above tools can greatly support your sales team by selling products directly or gaining new demand. Therefore, your salespeople must be prepared to actively assist in the successful completion of the transaction.
